THE RARITY OF TIME, SPIRIT OF BRAZIL
Founded in Rio de Janeiro in 2021 by designer and artist Juliana Freitas, JBJK explores the contrast between the rigidity of metal and the softness of natural fabrics.
The brand has roots in a family heritage linked to metalwork. Juliana grew up surrounded by pieces collected by her father, made by a Spanish blacksmith. These objects became an early reference for her fascination with metal, craftsmanship, and the relationship between handmade items and the body.
Today, JBJK transforms this heritage into contemporary fashion, creating a dialogue between armor and clothing, strength and delicacy, structure and movement. Each piece is handmade in Rio de Janeiro, combining metallic elements with natural fabrics through an artisanal and experimental process.
The brand develops limited edition and bespoke pieces, as well as personalized projects for individual clients, collaborations, and special orders.
Our commitment to technique has transcended Brazilian borders. In a trajectory marked by the pursuit of excellence, our designer Juliana Lopes (Historian from UFRJ, self-taught fashion designer and jewelry apprentice) was selected to represent the Michelangelo Foundation, an initiative of the Richemont group, as a Young Ambassador for the Homo Faber design and craft exhibition during the Venice Biennale of 2024 and 2026. This event is one of the world's largest showcases of artisanal mastery, celebrating the artisans who preserve the future of "handmade". Juliana was also part of the costume team for singer Lady Gaga in her performance in Copacabana at "Todo Mundo no Rio" in May 2025.
We operate on two complementary fronts:
• Custom Made: The development of exclusive pieces, where the client's wishes are sculpted through the lens of fine jewelry.
• Ready-to-Wear: Strictly limited editions, ensuring that each piece retains its status as a collector's item.
